Hopefully this info can help other folks that experience this issue. I have the Onan 7500 in my MH, a few weeks ago we were attending a rally, when in the middle of the night the generator started up on it's own (I do not have AGS). I shut the unit down and haven't tried to start it until this past week, the unit would not start, it turned over but would not fire off. I took it to a local repair facility, explaining the problem of no start and the previous issue of starting on it's own. The mech traced the problem down to a faulty Processor Invertor Assembly, apparently this is the generator brains ($800 of brains). He said when the gen starts by itself on non AGS units this is the cause in all of the ones he's seen, plus it was also the reason for the no start. The unit now works as advertised. I've seen other threads on this and other forums of the mysterious starting issue, so hopefully this info will be of help to other folks.

The rear of control panel with age of coach may have needed a good cleaning not sure it would have cleared your problem just has been tried before and has worked for some.
