Is there anything special that needs to be done to run the a/c while driving down the road? With the gen running I turn the a/c on and the a/c looks like it is on (temp/mode, etc.) appear on the a/c display but no air comes out. The 'compressor' isn't running but it looks like it should be.

When docked and running off shore power everything works perfectly. Am I doing something wrong?

Have a couple of questions for you to help further diagnosis of your problem:

1. When you running your generator driving down the road do you have 120VAC to your microwave? This would be indicated by your Microwave clock wanting you to input the time.
2. When parked without shore power connected, generator running does your Air Conditioning units work satisfactory?

My initial thought would be that your local output breaker on your genny maybe tripped therefore providing no AC power to your transfer switch, or your transfer switch is not switching when the genny is running. Answer to the questions above will help narrow your problem down.

Nothing special needs to be done to run your AC while motoring down the road, other than genny running and Air Conditioners turned on.

Welcome Rnicfingrp to the Newmar forum and irv2.
When you also turn on your AC there will be a delay of about 2min before the compressor will come on if you have control set to AUTO. If its on fan, fan will operate but compressor will still be delayed.
Your TRANSFER SWITCH will sense the Gen when it comes on and send power to your load center.
Start with what Spike said and check you switchs on Gen.
If you need anymore help just say the word.
Enjoy the forums and do post often.

Thank you very much. I checked the 2 30 amp breaker switches on the gen and they were both tripped. I reset them and everything works. Wow. Thanks again. I do appreciate your input.
