Generator starts while connected to shore power

Hi all,
Pretty big problem we have. We always set our generator to "auto start" in case of power failure as we have 3 dogs and need the AC. The problem is the generator starts while we have a solid 50 amp. At first I though we simply lost power but that was not the case. I turned off the generator and a few minutes later she fired up again and again. I figured the pedestal had to be bad but it was not.

Changed campsites a couple of days later and the same thing, she starts on her own.

Well, now that we are home and with full hookups at my office where I keep it stored I turned off the ac's, the fridge and set it to "auto-start" again. Once again, she started up while I have a solid 50 amp's.

Any thoughts? There must be an override feature which should prevent the generator from starting when connected to shore power but if there is I do not know where or what it is.

We have Magnum Power if that helps.

The sensor that senses whether 110v is present is probably faulty
