Girard awning

Was wondering if anyone has come up with a way to stabilize you girard awning. I have a girard 2000. I realize you can't completely stabilize it. Just thought there might be something I'm missing and help control it a little.

Stabilize what?
I put them out and all is good. Windy? They retract, or ill retract before they do on their own.

The whole awning, it seems that if there is the slightest breeze at all they want to flap around and try to go airborne. Just used to the old manual awning with poles. Seems like they took the breeze alot better.

Are you talking about straps or ropes to hold ends from lifting, or a stabilizing bar from coach side wall to awning roller extended?
You can try one of our dealers RV UPGRADES, in Vender list, top access bar top of forum.
If you need information on awnings, steps ,entrance doors follow this information select this link -- COM_NET -- TECH INFORMATION --- EXTERIOR --- AWNINGS or ENTRANCE DOOR --- STEPS --- PANELS, you will get different awnings, steps and panels used by Newmar.

Not really sure what would be needed. Don't want anything that would be mounted to the coach. Straps, tie downs of some kind I guess. That's why I was asking what others might be using if anything.
