Hello,

Does anyone know if the 2007 Essex Girard Awnings have an on off switch for the wind sensor? My Mountain Aire had a switch for the wind sensor in the basement. I can't get the wind sensor to work and hoping to find out I have switch in the off position.

Charlie, There is a master switch located in the control panel above the driver. It is the far right switch in the awning group and just says "On & Off". It cuts the power to your main awnings only.

Charlie, as usual Peter is correct.

I know of the overhead switch that turns off your awnings,it's right next to the one that turns off your CO detector, but I am not aware of a switch to "disable" JUST the wind sensor.

Heck....I don't even have one of those!

Well heck Bob, I don't have no switch for the propane detector as I don't have propane as mine is all electric. There is a blank next to it marked propane though. Good call.

Thanks for the help. I found the on/off switch for the awnings but it just disables the awning. This is one of those things I'll add to my list of things that Newmar can check out when I visit them in July. Thanks
Charlie

Hi Charlie! I believe it is a dip switch setting in one of the control boxes in your basement. I would call Newmar and they will tell you which one. Paul

866-463-9627.....Lady will answer "Newmar high line service"...ask for Carl or Jeff.

Memorized that number a long time ago...

Now that I have the darn thing memorized I can't call it first...

Peter....I was remembering my Essex.

I don't have any propane either....

Thanks for the help. I did call the number that Bob posted and found out that there is not a switch to turn the wind sensor off/on. They added this problem to the list of minor problems I'm going to have looked at when I go to Newmar towards the end of July. Thanks again for the help.
I've added number to my contacts, I'm sure I'll call them again.

Charlie

Charlie, not sure where you had your PDI done, but on the front flap of one of your black bags should be a gold card with all of your contact phone numbers on it...
There's a Newmar number,a Spartan number and I believe lots of other vendors as well.

My FIRST call was always to road assistance if need be,then I always called the Newmar 800 number....That's what Carl and Jeff are there for in the highline department.

After being towed three times you tend to remember phone numbers....

BTW....I have an '07 Screamin Eagle Ultra on the way....They're 110's now!!

Not only are they 110 now but they have the 6 speed transmission. Are you getting the same colors as the picture? That's the one I would have got if I had waited.

Bob

You ever get up around Minnesota with that Screamin' Eagle give me a call. I'll jump on the BMW and we'll take a day and I'll show you 700 - 800 miles of great "spirited" riding.
