Just took delivery of my 2006 Mountain Aire 4309. Will probably come up with a few more questions... The Girard awings work on 110V but only work on shore power or generator. Can I easily get them to work off of inverter?

I believe the awnings work off of 12 volts.

There are two white boxes in a compartment labelled Girard awnings. I definitely see a 110V connection. And they only work when shore power is applied and on generator...

From the Girard website....
The Elite patio awning can be operated with a hefty 110V motor via wall switch......

The G-2000 patio awning can be operated with a hefty 110V motor via wall switch.......

I never realized our Girard awning was 110v until I looked at their website....

In answer to your question, there is no reason the motor would not work on a inverter but it very well might need a modified sine-wave or a pure sine-wave. Probably the only way to 100% verify is contact Girard.

Yes the awning are 110 volt ac and I thought they worked off the inverter. On the Essex they are wired through the GFCI plug in the bathroom. SO if you ever have an power issue with the awnng check the GFCI plugs.
