Girard Nova Awning

I have a 19 Dutch Star with the Girard Nova dual pitch awnings. My issue is the factory sensitivity is WAY too light for any movement. Literally, a 1 mph breeze was calling the rear awning in and the front was soon to follow. Where does Newmar mount the wind / motion adjustment for these coaches? This was not discussed during my PDI nor can I find it in the manual.

The accelerometers are mounted on the inside edge of the awning.

We have a 18 LA with the same awning package. There is a black box on the leading edge of the awning that is where the adjustment is for the awning. the setting is 1 to 10 and is set a 3 at factory. 1 would be the most sensitive and 10 would be the least sensitive setting for movement. On LA 3 is to sensitive and comes in to easily and will be changing to 4 before we travel. need to have awning out to adjust setting because black box can't be adjusted when closed.

We have the same issue with the wind sensor as well as a couple of other issues with our Girard awnings. I have an appointment at the end of the month with Girard at their service department in S Ca to hopefully get the issues corrected. Nothing major, but since it is not far out of our travel plans I scheduled an appointment.

Girard will say there is no wind speed sensor but it's the movement is what retract the awning. I found out today that a loud noise will also retract awning.
