I just put them upside down in the cabinet. It has a carpeted bottom and I've had no breakage.

We have our wine glasses hanging by their base from a rack. When we travel we put socks on them and put a small bungee cord around them to hold them in place.

Walmart sells a thin carpet, in Auto section, different colors that you can glue down on cabinet shelfs keeps items from slipping around and keeps them quite.
I've use it in large bottom kitchen base cabinet floor and shelfs keeps pots & pans from slipping around.

Use foam cut to size of glasses and have how many you need to sheet. Or use wood.

if they are bottom heavy glassware, right side up and then my wife slips unused tube socks over em to stop the clanging and banging
add a layer of the anti-slip stuff to keep em stuck, plus an expandable bar across the door opening in case they decide to move

We put sweat socks on ALL our glasses as we hate plastic. This includes wine and water glasses. We laugh every time we have to take a sock off a glass but we have not broken a glass since we did this and with Michigan roads, that is a miracle.

We carry wine and old fashion crystal glassware. Wine glasses hang by their stems. Old fashions each sit in a recessed circle in a flat base.

Recreational beverages taste much better from the glass container.

I have ruined about 5 pieces in 9 years due to sharp turns and big bumps. But, these are the same as the ones we use in the S&B so we have replacements.

I have the same non-skid base under my glassware....I have cut some strips out of non-skid rug runners and weave this around and thru the glassware when we are traveling. Any loose space between them and the cabinet doors is filled with a balloon or non-skid material rolled up or you could use a towel for this purpose. Been traveling like this for over 9 years and not one broken glass.
Regards..

I also prefer my wine glasses to be crystal. Go to a Michael's craft store. You can find 2" thick foam and cut holes for the glassware. We have 60K miles and nary a broken glass, except for the ones my husband has knocked over . Here are a couple of pictures of our arrangement. The 2 laying on their side are red wine goblets that are too tall to stand straight.
