Go West, young men

Ok not so young but still going west I guess I lived a sheltered life LOL so looking for a little advice traveling at the end of April to Los Angeles and first time towing what is a good route to take? Just a good road to be on leaving from PA to LA planning on taking about 10 days travel time, thanks in advance.

Mountain passes that time of year can be iffy, bad weather, snow at higher elevations.

I-70 over to St. Louis
I-44 down to Oklahoma City
I-40 over to I-15 (Barstow CA)
I-15 down from CA High Desert to LA Basin
Then I-210, I-10, I-60, I-91 etc....your choice where/how you get to LA

Go south before going west to avoid snow/ice

10 days will be a nice trip. I wouldn't worry too much about snow although it is possible.

Where in Los Angeles are you going to stay?

Be sure to bring cash as in $20,$10,$5,$1`s and lots of change. When you travel I-44 thru Oklahoma it will cost you about $45.00 in toll fees (most require exact change) and that`s just I-44. After you hit I-40 you can put your money away NO more tolls all the way to LA. I hate paying the dam tolls.
Have a safe trip

if you haven't already, might want to check for camping places. California, in general, can be a bit limiting for bigger coaches. Also, might want to plan on the day and time you hit LA. depending on where abouts you are headed to. The traffic, specially for a big unit with tow, can be a challenge. avoid rush hour on week days and fridays in general.

I usually find a camp within california for the night before (I40 & I15) where I have a 2-3 hr drive to final destination. I also planned the last day to be sunday where I head out early to reach destination before noon, to avoid the crazy traffic. If you are used to typical PA traffic, this is nothing like it. have a safe trip.

if you have access to a google map, you can monitor traffic to your final destination to see what day or time may be best. a 15 mi drive can at times easily take an hour to cover...

If you take 40, then I wouldn’t miss the South Rim if you haven’t been there. Maybe spend two nights in Williams, AZ and drive the toad up one day.
