Can someone tell us step by step what you do when you get to your campsite?

I would guess that someone with a TT, like I have, would be different than a motor home, but this is what I do.

After I back my TT in, I use my level to check the front and sides. If I am out of level, I add my blocks to make it level.

I then put my locking chuck between the tandem tires.

I unhitch, from my Jeep, and then put my TT jacks down.

If it's sunny, I pull out my awning and open the outside door of the TT.

If I am at a place with water, I fill up my tank, hook up my electric, set up my sewer hose and start my water heater.

Then I go inside and set up everything in there as I put my TV, DVD, anything breakable, on my bed covered with a blanket.

I travel with my dogs, so I put down my mat and ex-pens, for them (do that after I unhitch).

I love to BBQ, so set up my portable BBQ table and put my grill on it. Set out my chairs and I'm done

Taking my second trip of the year next weekend. CAN'T WAIT!!!

Rodney, here is a check list for setting up.
Make sure you have registration and applied stickers on number plate.
After a few setups you will be an old pro and you can leave check list with wife.
Above all else have fun and enjoy.

@ 007: That is a great website and not just for the checklist. I plan to use the weight calculator.

I like the check list except you need to swap deploying slides and lowering jacks. I feel and most will agree level the coach wth the jacks THEN open the slides. I am sure some will disagree my order.

You have that right John, jacks down deploy slides. Other MH MFG's do do it differently.

Hi Rodneykrantz,
My assumption is the toad has already been disconnected. My Newmar specific sequence of events is:
1. Walk around to make sure I am where I want to be, on the site.
2. Set parking brake
3. Turn off engine
4. Dump air
5. As air is dumping unlock manual slide locks
6. Go outside and connect to shore electric
7. Return to driver's seat and level coach (I have air bag restrictors. My coach takes a while to dump air.)
8. Go outside and check for good power
9. Connect water and sewer
10. Open slides
11. Deploy awnings as appropriate for weather and wind
12. Change setting on refrigerator to one colder setting

Looks like a lot of work when you put it on a list.
