Golf Ball Size Hail In Nappanee In

We just got a weather report that Nappanee Indiana just got a hail storm about an hour ago that included golf ball size hail. Hope everyone escaped without any damage. I am not sure what golf ball size hail would do to fiberglass roofs or sides.

Friends who are at Camp Newmar reported dime-sized hail and no damage. Everyone came out for a look. We had just left Nappanee about 30 minutes earlier.

I have occasionally wondered how big the hail was before golf was invented........ Then I go back to my nap.

If no damage, they were lucky. In 2010 we were hit by a hail storm, I should say ice, and it was jagged edged hunks. Put holes in both A/C shrouds, took out all the roof vents, and made it look like someone went down both radius's(Radii?) with a ball pean hammer. But surprisingly no damage to the side of the coach. And since we were parked in our driveway at the time it put holes in the siding of our then home. It was over $9,000 to fix the coach, don't remember what the house was. What really made me mad was this happened two days before we were to hit the road fulltime. I replaced all the broken pieces on the coach, but left the Radii alone since it was cosmetic not structural, and waited til we got to FL. for the winter to have that taken care of. To say the least it was an inauspicious start to our meandering ways.
