Just curious why Newmar does not provide a gravity water fill for the fresh water tank. My last coach and most I've looked at have that provision and I'm wondering why Newmar chose to not include it. Granted, it's no problem to fill tank with the water inlet via valving. Anyone have an answer ?

If your concern about filling your water tanks when no hose bib is available it can be done using a bucket, 5 gallon can or some other source. What you do is place the water source valve to the fill water tanks, shut the pump suction valve coming from your water tanks, open the pump suction valve that goes to the winterizing clear tubing, remove the plug on the clear tubing and place it in the water source, turn on the pump. This will pump water from your source, (bucket, can, ice chest) into your tanks. This is basically the same procedure you use to winterize your fresh water system with the exception of the water source valve which is placed to the fill water tank system vice the coaches water system.

Your the fresh water system section of your operators manual should also explain in greater detail specific to your coach.

Spikester - Thanks for the tip, hadn't thought of that. Unfortunately, I have not received an owners manual yet so haven't been able to peruse such info. I wasn't concerned about filling without water hook-up, just curious why they didn't provide an alternate method.
