I picked up my Ventana from the dealer after they fixed some of the items on my list. Others require some parts that aren't in yet.

I'm at Lake Fairfax in Reston, VA and my luck is just wonderful.

First, we came here because it's close and they have a great water park for little kids. I have 2 and 4 year old kids. It hasn't rained for weeks, and of course it's been raining most of today and may rain again tomorrow.

Anyway, I arrive and start to set up. I put 1 slide out, then moved to the other front slide. Nothing.

I went to the control bay, and the panel was still disconnected with screws everywhere. The 4 wiring harnesses for that side were disconnected. The dealer didn't put it back together.

Oh, and they didn't latch 4 of the 8 locking arms for the slides. Both of the arms for the biggest front slide were not locked!

It can only get better. It can only get better. It can only get better....

Is the slide control board unplugged or are the individual wires within the box disconnected?

Each control box has 2 wiring harnesses going into it. One sends juice to the motor. The other has inputs for detecting if the key is on, etc.

The 2 wiring harnesses for each of the boxes on the passenger side were disconnected.

I think the reason is that they needed to crawl in that area for some reason. That's why the panel that holds those control boxes, plus the awning control box was also loose. All the screws were laying in the compartment.

The warning lady only comes on for the front passenger side slide. At first, even after re-connecting those harnesses, I thought the rear slide wasn't working. I just needed to hold the button longer.

Not nice But

If the harnesses are just unplugged you should be able to put them back into the Control box!!

They will only go in one way.

IF Yours are like mine the 2 small ones on the ends and the longer one in the middle.

Good Luck

Rick

PS It will be SUNNY tomorrow and the Kids will love the water park!!!!

That's exactly what I did, and the slides worked. There was just a delay with the rear slide.

I'm just not very happy that the dealer left that mess and left half of the slide lock arms unlocked.

They don't offer automatic locking arms on Ventanas, and they don't do specials on Ventanas.
