Guardian Quitpact 75 Oil Leak

We're presently in Dover, Pa. During today's travels, the generator shut down. I discovered oil in the drip pan. Low oil pressure probably shut it down. It's on an 06 gas, Kountry Star. Three months out of warranty. Any likely thing I can check. No visible leakage other than in the tray. Thanks Bob

I've got an 06 MACA with the same genny, and twice now i've had to take the metal fitting (where the rubber hose connects) off from the genny and wrap plumber's tape(Teflon) on it to stop the leak. DAVE

Dave, are you talking about the rubber hose for draining the oil?

I posted this also on another thread about a similar oil leak but wanted to share the resolution of my problem. Today I had a factory authorized service rep work on my genny. Mine had the same symptoms as others have reported and turned out to be the same leak on the oil cooler. Mine did not have spring clamps as some have reported but the screw type clamps were so loose you could turn the clamps around on the hoses. The job took about 5 hours of steady work. The generator had to be removed from the MH and quite a bit of disassembly to get to the oil cooler. All four clamps were loose. The fix took ten minutes. I was very happy with the tech who was actually the owner of the company. If anyone needs generator service in Pennsylvania, here is the contact info. Kevin's Electrical Service LTD. 275 N. Middlesex Road, Carlisle, Pa Phone: 1-800-492-9176.
