Hardwood Face Frames on Cabinets

We're trying to decide whether or not to go with the option of hardwood face frames on our Canyon Star order.
At $2,400 it's not a cheap option and not sure if it's needed.

Have people had issues with the wrapped wood face frames?

Any issues with doors and frames aging to different color shades?

I am sorry to do this but; What are you thinking? What is it about two percent of the total cost? Wrapped face frames are paper wrapped. The paper will tear and even peel over time. If you are not going to keep the coach very long say... no more than a few weeks then by all means go with the paper. Sorry I had to do that but I felt you needed it.

Only my humble opinion but I thought you could use some tough love. In jest please dont take offense.

Had a '98 Santara with the wrapped paper frames. NEVER AGAIN!!
We made sure to check the hardwood option on both our DSDP's we ordered. Well worth the cost over the long run. Kept the '02 for 13 years and never had a problem with the cabinets.

I had two nearly identical Excel 5th wheel trailers, one with hardwood face frames and one with vinyl wrap. The vinyl wrap showed more wear (scrapes gouges etc) after a couple of years. That convinced me the hardwood face frames were better and worth the money on my CS. Maybe you won't get alll your $$ back at resale but your CS will look better and that has value to the next buyer.

This is one of those items you do not want to cut corners on. You MUST go with the hardwood.

Hardwood Face Frames on Cabinets

After 5 years, my wrapped styles in the Ventana are holding up very well but wished that we had the upgrade. The only problem areas is the screw holes for the cabinet doors. Constantly fixing them.

$2400 minus discount (25%) is not that bad. Do it

I had the option in my 2016CS and think it is well worth the money, as stated look at the price after discount.....

We opted for the hardwood frames when we ordered our coach and it is now standard on the current year models. "Vinyl wrapped" is a euphemism for fiberboard, which will rot at the slightest hint of moisture.

We ordered with the hardwood options for our 2017 CS . Well worth the cost. Hope you get a chance to go out and watch the build, we did and got to sign floor as it went down the line.
