Heading out on Saturday for a Monday Meeting with Michelle.

The story goes like this. We went to the Tampa Show in 2014 to look over every motorhome made. We had already determined that the 4369 was the coach for us unless we could knock it off the top of the list. During the weeks before the show we found out Marc and Sara of NWLandings fame were going there as well. We met at the gates on the first day of the show. We had similar missions, find a coach that would be better, or not, than the Dutch Star. Well we could not. Some very nice units by other brands but nothing quite right.

We have been involved in an very exhausting construction defect issues and lawsuits involving our condo complex we bought when new. We for sure thought it would be over and we could be full timing sometime in 2014. Well not so fast mister. 2015's came out and this was it. We liked all of the changes and upgrades to the 2015 and we were just waiting to order but alas the lawsuits drug on and on. Then the break, lawsuit over, 2015 4369 here we come. Not so fast mister, you have to pick a contractor, put the project out out for bid........... 2016 4369 here we come. Well not so fast. We either need to sell my 4 place airplane that I had built from a Kit 11 years ago or sell this condo first. We are wrapped in scaffolding and covered in white plastic, not the sales pitch you want to give during a condo sale.

In the meantime NWLandings has ordered the 4369 and as of today it is about to come out of paint. Dang, we were suppose to be 2 years ahead of them in the ordering process and could give them all the wisdom of ordering a new Dutch Star. Not so sir. Well last week my plane sold. This is the trigger that needed to be pulled to make the jump. So here we go. I have been in constant contact with Marc and Sara on what to order, how the process works, what is the sequence, ect. So here we go. We are finally taking the step in a 2017. Yes we looked high and low for a 2016 but nothing was exactly right. Kinda close but when you factor in the cost of "close" to our custom order coach we are doing the latter. So if you are still awake after this long message and you will be at Camp Newmar next Monday or Tuesday, send me note. We would love to buy the drinks or at least promise to next time when we have something other than a rental car. Thanks to everyone for 3 years of info and keeping us motivated to pursue our dream. Randy and Cheryl.

Congratulations!
If you have done all the research you say you have, then you already know you are making a great decision. The 4369 is an awesome full time coach.

It sounds like things have been stressful for a couple years, but try to relax and really savor the moments you spend with the people in Nappannee.

Michelle will take great care of you and your specials. Be sure to take in SEVERAL plant tours with Ashley, Roxy, or Michelle. You will learn something new each time.

Go over and introduce yourself to Jeannie, you will become instant friends. Stop by the Kountry Klub office and say hi to Linda and the Kriegers and buy your self a Newmar t shirt so you feel like you really belong.

Becoming a Newmar owner is like joining a whole new family of great people and fun experiences. We continue to enjoy every minute of it.

Have fun

Hi Randy,
Congratulations to you and Cheryl. Glade to hear the condo project is moving forward. Norm Mac's post is spot on!!

You will really enjoy your design session with Michelle. Suzan and I ( really Suzan, while I take the tours and wonder around Newmar) have worked with her to design two coaches; one for us and a second for a friend. Michelle has an excellent sense of design, and can guide you with the possibilities to make your coach just what your looking for. She also has a lot of background in what "specials" will make the coach more useable for you and Cheryl. Take your time and enjoy the process!!

Mike

Hi Fixit,

Sounds like very exiting times. I'm sure you are in good hands. The fact that Newmar does this for lots of people would give me confidence.

Have you worked with a dealer and made a deal and now you are working through the details and specials?

Try to get some sleep.....I know I would have a hard time!

Congratulations!

We have been looking at Newmar floorplans for ourselves. The 4369 is fantastic for many, many reasons! But, you already know that.

We wish you the best.

[QUOTE=Canuck53;3064582]Hi Fixit,

Have you worked with a dealer and made a deal and now you are working through the details and specials?

Believe it or not we have agreed on a percent off of list 2 1/2 years ago with our closest dealer. He is waiting for the build sheet from Michelle to get us the price. It of course goes to his boss for final approval but I have warned him that he gets one chance and only one chance or we walk to Chad at Midway. Marc and Sara did get the same deal I have negotiated locally. But when our local dealer would not come through for them that is were they went. Randy

So does that mean you can not go to Newmar and get the specials and details worked out and then go to dealers with the final details and specials?

Fixit, we and tucker1232 will both be there to pickup our new rigs. Hoping to arrive mid day Saturday and snag a full hookup site for our SOB ( :O ), to be swapped out for our new LA. Stop by and say 'Hi'.

Michelle will take good care of you.

Welcome!

Hi fixit1957!
As JMonroe already mentioned, we too will be at the factory that week to take delivery on our Ventana 3725. We plan on arriving on Sunday and staying at Amish Acres (the hotel next to the factory). We will be arriving in our jam-packed Honda CRV and would love to meet you to share stories!

No you do it as you described. Go to the factory and get a build/spec number the call the dealer.

All we did was pin the salesman down after he mentioned to my wife "You have been looking a lot at the coach. Buy it now and I will give you 100k off." Well I know that 100k wasn't going to be enough off but that was closest to correct numbers any salesman's numbers to date. This was in 2014. After she told me what he said we went back and sat down and had a hart to hart on what I would do. He agreed. The factory is the next step for us. Randy
