Has Anyone upgraded the Headlights in a 98~2000 DSDP?

As near as I can tell the OEM is Ford , the Light Units are from the F Series of PU's (92~96 )

I'm thinking of using some 92-96 Ford F150 Dual Halo Angel Eye Projector Headlights - Chrome 2LHP-F15092-TM

Along with upgraded Wiring and Relays these should Look and Work Fantastic.

Next I would like to replace those Boring Bargmann Taillights with some LED Units. There are several available with Chrome Trim.

I'm thinking that this Series of Dutch Star could use a bit of Bling to make it Look less Boring.

A lot of DSDP owners have found that just adding relays to the headlights makes a big difference. I put SilverStar bulbs in ours. Also, Newmar (and others) got stuck with a bunch of counterfit "Ford" headlights that were not DOT approved even though they carried a DOT certification number. Replacing them with real Ford lights solved a lot of problems.

Thanks Mr D,
I have already gone that route with the Relays and heavier Wiring and have the OEM Ford HB5 (9007) Lamps. The thing is that it is a really Boring design that needs a Little Bling to Wake it Up! Hence the Projector Beam Lights with HID.
Thinking some Mazda or Porshe 944 Horizontal Wrap Tail Liights with LED's as well.
might even incorporate additional Chrome from a donor Car or two!

Wow...would love to do this as well. Keep me posted as to what you find. I am starting my search as well.

I would strongly suggest that you hold off with the purchase until you discuss that headlight with an expert like Daniel Stern of Daniel Stern Lighting Consultancy and Supply.

I found these:

Spyder Auto | 1997-2003 Ford F150 1 Piece Black Crystal Headlights with LED

and thought I had found a solution to my problem until I talked to Daniel. According to him, there are NO replacements for the originals, other than glitzy ripoffs.

I suspect that Angel Eyes are similiar.

As I have discussed in other posts in this forum, I have decided to do as Daniel outlined and

1. Replace the cheap DEPO, TYCO imitations of the Ford headlights with Ford headlights.
2. Have a good aiming performed
3. Install GE Night Hawk bulbs
4. Boost the voltage to headlights (from the present 11.3 vdc to 13.5 vdc) by installing heavier wire and relays.

Installation of the relays is the only piece left... working on that now.

Best solution is do not drive at night. I replaced the driving lights with bigger ones for when I have to.
