How hot should the heat pump be blowing when operating. Mine seems to be moderately warm and it is only 50 + degrees outside on the coldest nights. I am only trying to get the coach up to 65 degrees and the unit runs most of the night.

Your right, it has heat strips. That is probably why it doesn't work well when in the 50's. Thanks for the input, I guess I will have to use portable heaters.

do you have something against propane..the furnace will get you up to comfort level and then the heat strips will hold you there..just a thought...I for one do not like portable heaters..too many fires in the past..

No, just trying not to use propane, hate hauling the 40lb bottle back and forth for refill. I am semi full timing in the coach. I also do not like those portables....will only use the ones with thermo-protection when in the coach. Next winter I guess I will have to look into a large extenda-stay bottle with propane delivery.

Thanks everyone for the input. Wish there was a way to upgrade the heat strips.

Chris
