Well, the wife and I have just started our journey into the MH world. We picked up a 1994 Newmar Kountry Star. 37.5'. With the 460 in it.
All the accessory manuals are with the coach. However the manual for the coach itself is missing. I went to the link in the Newmar section and it only goes as old as 99. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find the one specific to my year? The 99 had many things the same, so it is somewhat helpful.
Also, and this is a big one, where would I find an actual service manual for the chassis? I have a problem with the a/c for the driving area that is powered by the engine. I am not getting power to the a/c compressors clutch. When I started getting into it, someone has jury rigged the heck out of the wiring under the dash and going to the compressor. WOuld like to see the way it should be to so I can get it right instead of wiring it up just so it works.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I must say, this sight has taught me so much about the machines and all that goes with having one. Thanks to all that post here. A very big help indeed.

I would think you should ask the owners manual question in the Newmar forum. Someone with a Newmar rig might be in a better position to help you.
Chassis manual depends on what chassis you have. 460 was used in both Ford and Oskosh (John Deere) chassis.

Didn't know that. How is one to tell what chassis you would have?

ECM I beleive you have the old Ford F-53 chassis with the 460 engine.
You can go to a Auto Store and maybe order a chassis manual from them.
This link also has the means of finding a Chiltons Ford chassis manual.
You can also go this route through Ford.
Came up with this also.
We have another new member with same year same chassis you have, "rollbob" and he has some recent posts maybe able to exchange chassis info.

The VIN will telll you a lot (have your VIN handy and search on-line for the VIN code beakdown). Plus there should be lists of equipment, tire pressure, etc hiden throughout the motorhome. Look for engine/chassis tire info near the driver's seat, equipment lists on closet doors or closet walls, etc. Then do an internet search on each component for their owners manuals and built a book to reference - there are even manuals for things like the steps.

Hey guys, thank you very much for the info. I have the MH at a friends right now. He has a big building that it will fit in so I can work on it out of the weather. I will be back at it on Thursday. I will take your suggestions and go from there. I appreciate the helpful info....

I had my vin # handy and it is a Ford f-530 chassis per the breakdown I looked at. Thanks for the help. That will get me going in the right direction at least.
