Welcome to iRV2 Monkeyman1. There's lots to read by searching threads for the subjects you are interested in reading.

However, I like to read rather than post too. So, post some good stuff about yourself, your rv, & your travels for me to read.

Dave

Welcome to the herd! Since you posted on the Newmar board I'm assuming you have/are thinking about getting a Newmar. GREAT CHOICE.

Like denochs says - tell us about yourself & your rig. We'd love to hear about both.

Mark

thanks for the warm response everyone. some info...

married 31 years (on 8/25!), 2 adult kiddos, no grandchildren. we have a 2008 cypress 37LSRE 5'er purchased new (love it). tow vehicle is a 2005 chevy 3500 SRW. our travel has been limited as we have a home on galveston bay in texas and love to spend time there.

we recently had a power surge that took out both AC control modules, the DC converter, washing machine control module and slide control modules (3). if you don't have a surge protector, i HIGHLY recommend it as this fix would have cost >$2K had we not purchased an extended warranty. (i don't sell surge protectors nor extended warranties). not saying surge protectors will save every piece of electronic equipment, but it could help.

oh well, don't want to bore my new friends! btw, i will be visiting the 5'er forum.

thanks again for the warm welcome!
