Welcome Shortyroc to RVing. You will find that there is nothing that you can do, or not do when you should, that has not been done (or not done) by all of us that have some miles under us. I hope that you and your family will enjoy you Mountain Aire and the great country we live in. As you travel and meet others on you trips, you will find that RVers are a great group of good people and will , on the most part, go out of their way to help you when you need it. And in time you will do likewise. It is a great life in a RV.
You are doing the right thing by exploring all of the features before taking it on the road. God's Speed.

Here is a link to explain the valves on your HW heater you may also have a switch on face of heater that controls the electric element besides the one on panel inside coach. Element works of 110 when hooked to shore power or Gen.

On the road

Shorty, after you get your coach all checked out and are ready to hit the open road, I would suggest that you go to this web site, and watch this vido on how to handle a sudden loss of air in a tire while driving. I had been pulling trailers and driven motorhomes for nearly 30 years and didn't know about how to handle this. Let's hope that none of us needs to use this information, but it is good info to fall back on when needed.
