Hopefully it is as simple as our issue. We have had the RV out several times and has not happened again. However we have not needed to use the furnace since either

What ever wires you were moving may need to be cleaned up with some contact spray cleaner, fuse holders can be cleaned also which may have happened by just removing fuse and reseting in its fuse holder.
Age will cause some corrosion between contacts and cleaning will correct.
RS sells contact spray or AUTO Parts store.
Periodically its a good idea to check screw connections in your load center, circuit breakers, 12v fuse panels both positive and negative wiring leads.
Battery leads on batteries and ground cables to the chassis frame for Gen, inverter/converter both chassis and house batteries.

Hubby switched the circuit breaker off then turned it on again and the fan was off. Just working the kinks out after sitting for the winter.

I like your determination, finally fixed it. On another note, open the furnace outside access door, take an air hose and blow out the area really good where the HOT AIR COMES OUT. Dirt doppers and wasp will build in there and cause the KICK ON FLAP to not operate as it it designed to do. When the fan comes on and blows cool air, the damper raises and turns on fuel to ignite furnace.
As a preventative, I took a DOG FLEA COLLAR and cut in about 6" length and lay in the bottom of the compartment, as well as the exterior fridge/water heater compartment's. It sure has helped my situation. If it happens again, open the access door and UNPLUG THE RED WIRE, JMHO, good luck and travel safe.
