Help, just lost all 120v in 2015 dutch star
We had quite a bit of load on the 120v system, and all of a sudden every thing went off. Checked all the breakers, all good. I have tried on 30 amp, 50 amp, and the genny, but no power. Only way to get 120v is through the inverter. Anyone have any ideas?

Happened to me on a previous RV we owned. Turned out it was a circuit breaker mounted in the middle of no where under our coach. No idea why the manufacturer decided to put one away from the rest of everything and why they thought it should be on the undercarriage. Doesn't help you much I know but you could look for electrical components in the wiring where ever you have access to the wiring and see if any are circuit breakers.

if your house main breaker is ok(double 50) then maybe your transfer switch has totally failed. Did u try resetting the main breaker?

I reset the breaker, which wasn't actually tripped, and things came on briefly, but then go straight off again

I'm a little confused here.
Your post heading says 12v, and in other posts you're talking about 120v.
Is the problem with your 120volt power?

Do you have an EMS that would shut off power from a faulty power source ?

well then maybe the main breaker is [moderator edit] or the EMS is screwed up or as said transfer switch failed completely
need to meter power in/out of transfer switch and go from there

If you can duplicate this, in my mind that points to this breaker being bad.
Of course it COULD be that you're just pulling too much load. Trying turning all of the heavy load appliances off and then reset the breaker.

Had a similar situation a few years ago. There are breakers on the inverter that tripped under heavy load. You might check there.

true but you don't lose all 120V power in this situation only the inverted supplied outlets plus(never tried) I doubt the inverter would work then and his does

No, it actually shut down everything. All 120v AC is passed through the inverter and nothing works when that happens on my coach. Heat pumps out, everything dead. Reset the breakers and all is well. They are all set up a little different. Anyway, it is worth a shot.

I am having a similar problem, but at least I can get power thru my generator. I checked every breaker, reset everything even though they had not been tripped, but no luck in getting the power back. It turns out that for some unknown reason my Transfer Switch went bad, and I cannot get any power from Shore Power. I am having the transfer switch replaced in a few weeks. I have read that some transfer switches have been failing after just a few years, and for no obvious reason, power surge/overload ect.
