Help Please - Oasis Quit
It is Saturday night and our Oasis quit on our 2017 Dutch Star 4369.
We have a green light on the BURNER but it will not start. There are no lights on the AC HEAT, no matter the position of the switch.
I went outside and pushed the RESET button. The POWER and COMBUSTION light illuminated but still no hot water and the diesel burner will not start.
I have reset the breaker for the two AC Heat elements - still no go.
The Oasis fluid level is within the normal range.
I called Newmar and left a message but no return call.
The Newmar manual and the Oasis manual are of little help.
Any suggestions for troubleshooting would be appreciated.
Rex

Does the heat work? My summer loop pump failed so I had no hot water. If it is the summer loop pump there is a bypass switch that can be used to get hot water in the bay.
Here is a service manual I used to find my problem.

I went outside to the Oasis unit and pushed the RESET button. This time it reset and started the diesel burner AND the AC light illuminated on the remote panel inside the coach. After about one or two minutes, the diesel burner shut down as well as the AC lights on the remote panel. It is back in its inactive mode. Further attempts to RESET are for naught.
There are no red fault lights illuminated.
Thanks for the sending the manual.
Does Newmar returns calls on the weekend? This is the second time I have left a message on a weekend and no reply.

Have you tried calling Oasis direct ? Not sure if they have a help line available on the weekends, but I have used their Tech line twice and found them very helpful.

LK23 I have no suggestions, but would be interested in how this is resolved. Losing your hot water and heat especially in the winter is a bad situation.

My summer loop pump failed two weeks ago and I worked with Newmar to find me a service tech for this week in Boothbay, ME. Newmar, Oasis, and I had a conference call to troubleshoot the issue. As mentioned previously, there is a bypass switch (rocker switch) on top of the larger control box mounted in the Oasis bay. When you need hot water, flip the switch to bypass and turn it off when you don't. With switch in bypass, you will heat the coach up so I just use it when taking showers. Newmar did offer to send me the pump for me to change; I would have to pay for it first and would be reimbursed when I sent the old one back. I declined because frankly the tech I was working with was a bit of a jerk and was not very interested in solving my problem. His attitude was more operator error first, then disbelief that a pump failed, and then just a smart #$%^. When he asked if I was handy and I told him I worked for NASA for 40 years, he asked if I swept floors or knew what I was doing.
There are other threads about these pumps failing, so I doubt this will be my last rodeo.

Couple of shots in the dark to try and help.
Are you plugged in and at what amp level? (EMS could be turning power to electric elements if you are drawing too much)
Is you fuel tank above 1/4 full?
Sorry if these seem like basic questions but just trying to help

It was the compressor on mine, The $500 Germen compressor. Easy but expensive. I still have the old one as I can't bring myself to throw it out.

Now it is settled into a INOP routine. Occasionally, the green light for the AC HEAT comes on the inside remote display. If I turn on the BURNER the diesel burner will ignite and run for 2 minutes, heating the water. When the diesel burner goes off, the system shuts down again. On occasion, it "wakes up" when I shut the door on the Oasis compartment, but not every time.
I left a message with Oasis. No reply. Probably won't we able to reach them until tomorrow morning.
I also left a message yesterday with Newmar after hours support and no reply. That is really disappointing. They could at least follow up and respond to my phone message.

Sorry to hear about your hot water issue Rex. I won't mention names but if it is a certain person on after hours call and I think they take turns, good luck. He doesn't answer my emails and he lies to me. In my opinion he should not be dealing with customers, also heard the same thing from other owners when I was at the factory for service in June.

Question: When you have the AC HEAT switch turned on, is the green light illuminated all the time or only when the AC element is heating?
