Question Help with Cable TV

I was told by the dealer's trainer that I just had to pick cable or antenna from the tv settings and then autoprogram (SONY TV, DVD, Surround sound system) but I can't get any stations and I've tried on three different cable systems. Has anyone got any suggestions?

Do you have a switchbox in a cabinet somewhere to select your input source? Sat/aux/cable? I have a switchbox that lets me select the source for each TV.

How is you antenna power switch set? It's the itty bitty black push button on the TV antenna wall mounted plug cover (usually with a cigarette lighter outlet on it as well).

Button "out" for cable button "in" for TV antenna.

ottffss, thank you. That was the solution. I'd seen that thing and didn't connect it to the anteena booster.

Typical walk through guy.. Forgot something Glad you figured it out.

I have helped a few folks ... Was in a campground some time ago where the neighbor complained about poor cable performance.. Pushed the button and "Sharp as a Tack" was the picture all of a sudden, ,Just like magic.

Was in a motor home purchased used, She could not get cable through at all, The button made no difference.. Found out the box was...... Disocnnected.
