The pics help explain why at the end of the drain cycle it gets very slow. Your drain pipe is coming out the side of the tank instead of the bottom. Once the water level reaches the top of the pipe, from there on down it will flow less and less water because it's using less of the pipe volume. When the pipe comes out the bottom of the tank it can flow a full pipe right to the end.

Does your black tank come out the side also?

Yes I believe it does. They appear to slope slightly up when they come out of the side and then turns down. It would make more sense I guess to come out of the bottom. I may be able to take out a shim but wonder how much difference that would make?

Probably wouldn't make much difference. As for the pipes coming out the side of the tank, there's not much you can do about that. I'm sure Newmar didn't come out the side by choice. There probably was not room for them to put the drains in the bottom of the tanks. All the DP's drop out the bottom, maybe the gas chassis doesn't have the room.

I hope that's the grey tank, if it's the black tank j can see some major blockage problems with that design and not much you can do about it shut it off when it gets slow and forget about it but I would use some type of digester in both tanks and rinse as much as posable when time permits like in full hookup campsites where no one is waiting.

Yes, it's the gray tank.

Our 2013 Canyon Star seems to drain slowly also. Both tanks are slow. We have an internal flush connection for the black. The tank seems to stay very clean by using this feature. Seems to be the nature of the beast to have slow tanks. But, otherwise it's such a nice beast that it hasn't really bothered us.
Good luck with yours.

Thanks. They are very nice! I think I will have mine checked out and see if the tanks can be lifted in the back and drop the pipes in the front. Even a little I think would help. Canyon Star is a very nice MH!
