Angry hot slide

What a great system this is I hope someone can help---2002 dutch star

When I tried to open rear slide--nothing check fuse and it was blown. Replaced fuse and was barley able to get front slide out (very slow) when I investigated rear slide I felt motor (Super hot) mechanisim has noise of positioning but won't open. I had to disconnect wires to rear slide motor to operate and bring in front slide. Any idea's would be fantastic

Welcome mjzb52 to the forum & irv2.
Here is a spec about the Newmar slides.
Most slides have there own control unit and separate fusing.
Within this Quick tips link is more information on controls for slides.
Not sure what type of mechanism you have for your bedroom slide but it maybe similar to this.
If you have something jammed under bed and motor is trying to move slide it will heat up blow fuse from increased current draw.
Check the mechanism under bed by lifting covers to it and see if something might be binding the operation of it.
As you can see in link the rod if you have one will snap if it gets jammed.
The motor is a low toque motor and moves very slowly and will crush a object if caught behind the fascia.
Let us know how you make out.
