Hot water line to generator

Friend called me and asked what was the object of a hot water line to the generator and since my coach doesn’t have that I told him I would ask.
Can anyone enlighten me?
Thanks
Bill

I used mine once and it worked ok, lacking pressure that I am use to out of a hose. I did tap into that line for my road wave and washed the coach Sunday and it worked very well.

It’s extremely handy for washing the front of the coach after a long day of travel. I keep a shrinking hose attached so storage is not a problem. Wouldn’t be without it. Really nice if you do the mod adding shocks to the front hood making the area much easier to access.

Traveling up to Alaska, use it every evening. The hot water, along with my bug dissolver concoction works well. The shrinking hose idea is great. Jerry, I need to add the struts to the front hood. Dutch Star Don did a great post on that. Did you follow his install?

I did follow DSD’s install and have helped a friend do the same. It is almost a must have if you use the front space much at all. I have no idea why Newmar doesn’t install gas lifts for the front hood. Absolutely a no brainer if you have ever struggled with the stupid lift arm that comes stock.

OMG -- I thought you guys were just kidding and pulling my leg. You mean there really is such a thing as a generator water heater -- with an outlet at the front of the coach?

I don't think us lowly KSDP owners have anything like this.

BTW, you don’t need access to a welder like DSD has. I just bolted my strut mod together.

Unfortunately, my struts won't work with the slide out generator, but should be adaptable. I may be doing that project in the next three months or so. :-)

Thanks guys for the answers I’ve forwarded this on to them. Apparently they’re looking at a new coach.

Thumbs up

One of the best options for so little $$$. I use everyday when we are on the road, and the water pump gives you plenty of pressure. If you get the bugs off right away makes for easier clean up. Love that idea of the struts

It has nothing to do with your generator. The option is "hot water line to the generator *AREA*". It's simply a hot water spigot available under your front hood.
