How do you service the A/C air filter on roof air units?

Wondering how much of a task that this is, for owners with roof air units? What's the process for servicing A/C units when the headliner has these huge ornate covers.
Thanks

For me ordered Dometic coil cleaner. I remove covers, in my case four screws. Spray coils with coil cleaner and let set for five miniutes or so and use garden hose and spray inside and outside coils. Do this twice a year, I believe it makes a difference.

Are there no inlet filters in the penguin units?
My basement unit in my "brand W" has a easily accessible filter, and I change it as needed. Very visible.....
Thanks

My inlet filters are inside the coach. I pull them down from the ceiling, remove hand wash and throw in dryer. I do this about four times a year.

The inlet filters are a round foam type that fits in the grill you see in the ceiling. Each grill has a filter. They are washable. No is not filters in the roof top units.

On mine there are large wood grills several feet long. There is a latch on both ends and a hinge. You can undo the latch and let it swing down there are straps on mine so they won’t come down to far. Then as was mentioned take the little round grills out they are just clipped in and wash and replace the foam filter. There are no filters on the top but I do take the covers off once a year and get the mud daughbers nest out and wash the coils I just use water as mine have never been real dirty. Wash from inside the coil to outside.
Hope this helps

It depends on year and model for specifics but all filters are inside the vehicle .... there are no filters on the roof. In my case, there are 13 round filters in the ceiling.
