How many hours on your Oasis?

Today I was doing my 1 year service on my oasis and noticed that I had 147hrs on the unit, which was put into service October 2018.

I am trying to get a feel for how this ranks with others, as I feel like I use the burner pretty frequently and was shocked it wasn't more than that.

How many hours do you have?

How many hours on your Oasis?

80 hours in the last 24 months. We use the MH about 4-5 months out of the year, typically during the Fall and late Winter/early Spring.

The burner is typically only used for showers and for heating the coach itís a backup to the heated floors.

I also use the burner to heat the coach (50 degrees) for the 2-3 months thatís itís parked in my driveway from November to January. This is in lieu of winterizing it.

Where do you find the hours (run time) on the oasis?

I'll have to check, but I'll guess under 10 hours in nearly 7 years. We are 1/2 time, but stay in warm areas and really don't need to use it. I do fire it up every once in awhile to exercise it and I do the required annual service. ..... now if there was a meter on the AC units, that would be a different story !

I just double checked. The 1/10 digit was hidden by dirt on the meter so I assumed the last digit that I could see was the tenths. Looks like I actually have 807

My 2013 had over 800hrs when I sold it in 2018.

I think the heated floors are part of why I used it less.

In montana, electric will not make a warm shower, and during our season there, the temps can swing widely and we end up using the heat. During the day I dont mind heat pumps, but at night they are too noisy.

134.6 hours in four years. Well that is surprisingly low, I might skip that $100 tune up I was planning to do this month.

I am curious if this is an item that requires more or less maintenance with use vs time?

What I have done annually is clean out the soot box, but I do not replace any parts other than the fuel filter and stone filter until they actually fail.

IMHO, the only risk is an untimely failure of the burn box, and I have all the parts to replace when it happens.

What do you think?

I bought the kit but haven't done it yet. I knew it included a fuel filter, what is the stone filter?

It is a small stone that goes inline with the fuel at the burn box. Last defense before the burner.

I have had some recent problems where the burner would not run. The LEDs would go from igniter to combustion fan every few seconds. Also, the burner would start and shut off in a second or two, then it would start again but only run for a minute. Then cut off and run again until it fluid was at shutoff temperature. No fault lights.

Contacted ITR and had the control board replaced. ITR has great customer service! The problems seemed to have gone away, but I did wake up in my house at 3am one day and found that the temperature in MH was lower than set temperature. Burner was not running. I rebooted and all has been well sense. Iím still not sure the problem is completely resolved. Next time Iíll be checking the continuity on the aquastat.
