How to attach items to an interior wall?

I have a few items that I would like to wall mount in our 2016 Bay Star. The interior walls are about 1" thick with a hollow core and a thin wall board of perhaps 3/16" thickness on each side. Will a screw hold a relatively light weight item in the panel of such an interior wall? The wall board is covered with a vinyl wrap that has the appearance and very light texture of grass-cloth.

We use the 3M Command Mounting Strips for a lot of items. They have all sizes and types and it is amazing how strong they are. And ... when you are done they can be removed without any damage to the walls.

We have those sticky removable wall hangers. They have been up for a year now and are holding strong. They just stick like 3M tape to the wall.

Thank you for that! Does it seem that they would stick well to the very lightly textured vinyl wall covering? Also, does it seem that the tape would hold up to the high heat in Arizona?

3M line of hangers and brackets. Also Velcro hook and loop. Available by the roll at Home Depot and elsewhere.

The 3m fasteners work best for us. The adhesive on the velcro materials seemed to not hold up to the summer heat as well as the 3M fasteners. One word of caution, we used the picture hanging 3m fasteners to mount a small clock. The jostling with the weight of the clock started to pull the vinyl wall covering from the wall. The picture hanging fastener does not hold tight and allows for some movement and I think that caused the problem. I got the loose vinyl to tighten and stick again with a hair dryer. The tightly stuck on 3m fasteners have never caused any problem.

Great info... Thank you all. I will look into the 3M fasteners.

For something heavy or I have planned on leaving up forever I have used hollow wall anchors such as these: Crown Bolt #6-32 x 1 in. Zinc-Plated Hollow Wall Anchor with Truss-Head Combo Drive Screw (5-Pack)-00469 - The Home Depot . They will work with 1/8th inch paneling but require you drill a 1/4 inch hole to install. Otherwise, for light items the 3M tape works well and should work on a "textured surface" wall since the tape is a foam or sponge type.

Dutchstr.... Thanks very much for that info. The clock I want to hang is very light weight plastic so the 3M tape might be fine. It's great to know about the hollow wall anchors, though, in case I need to go that route!
