How to get touch up paint

I have a 2008 Kountry Aire stored in Montana. The BASF touch up paint that I originally got with my unit has dried up.

What is the best way to get more touch up paint? I had understood that Newmar will not ship paint (I could stop at the factory this coming spring I suppose, but it is not really on our normal route to Montana from Pennsylvania), and I am not close to any Newmar dealer.

Thanks.

John

Call Newmar, they have the paint combo that you can take to a good paint supplier and they can mix it. You can try to mix some MEK solvent in the dried up paint if you can get to it.

I already have the paint codes, so I'll find an auto paint dealer. My paint is too dry, I'm afraid, to do anything with it.

Thanks.

Somewhere in your RV is a piece of paper with paint codes on it. They told me mine was in the kitchen cubbord.. It is in the bedroom wardrobe.

I took that informaiton to a Sherman Williams Automotive store near Detroit (Well, the back parking lot is in detroit, the store in Redford Twp) and ... More money than I care to admit later (sixty bucks) I had two large spray cans. (I could have gotten a pint for the same price as I recall)

I see you have the paint codes.....

If you can not find the automotive paint store near you... Ask a body shop where they get their paint.. Same store.

(The body shop I used to use was In Detroit... Directly behind the paint store .. Alas it is closed now)

Here in the Sacramento area there is more than one auto-paint outfit that will match the paint, mix it, put it in a spray can, and ditto w/clear coat. Gotta be sources in most big towns that will do the same. Just ask around at auto-paint joints.

I had the same issue with my factory supplied touch up paint kit and I found this on line company that will match your paint based on the paint codes. I have order some touch up paint from them and it matched perfectly. The source is Touch Up Paint from PaintScratch.com

Thanks to all of you for your replies. It looks like I have several options on places that I can go to find my paint.

I had thought that it might be best to get BASF paint, but maybe that's not necessary.

My 4 paint codes are on an inside panel - kitchen

Sent them to the link received

Paintscratch.com

Will see what they offer as I verified on Sherwin Williams link given by this Company and a color code can give 3 results
