Hello,

We have been lurkers on this site for quite some time and finally got around to signing up.
We just took delivery on a new 2010 Canyon Star 3641 and man o man are we tickled.
We have camped just about every way possible from tents to pop ups, travel trailers, fivers, etc. We bought our first MH early last year, a used Georgie Boy. Really enjoyed it, but needed more room and lets face, our new Canyon Star is shiny and new.
We took it on a shake down cruise to Galveston this past week, to get used to all the new stuff. Everything worked great. We are looking forward to many great miles and adventures with our Newmar.
On a side note, when we decided that a new MH was in our future, we checked out and drove, looked at, and admired many different brands. The Newmar quality kept bringing us back.
Anyway just wanted to introduce ourselves to the group and hope to see some of you down the road.

Phillip & Betty.......and Sophie the dog.

Hi Phillip & Betty.......and of course Sophie
Welcome to iRV2 and the Newmar owners forum. In the documentation provided with your coach, there should be information about the Newmar Kountry Klub (NKK). There is also a forum on iRV2 that is for NKK discussions. The NKK is a social Klub for owners of Newmar products. Thanks for joining and I look forward to reading your posts. Nobody knows your coach like someone who owns one like yours.

Newmarboy - Welcome to the forum, Newmar ownership, and especially the ranks of CanyonStar owners. We have the 3647 model and like you, we are extremely pleased with our choice. After a year of ownership, we have no regrets about our decision to buy a Newmar. Many happy travels and post often, we need more gasser participation on the forum.

A big welcome here too. I loved your expression "Are we tickled". Now all you have to do is remove the "L" if the wheels fall off. Just joking! Congratulations on a great purchase. I've owned 3 Newmars and I too am tick(l)ed. I look forward to reading your posts. Enjoy.

Congratulations on your purchase. You made a wise choice. After a year of ownership and 10,500 miles, we have had the typical first year shakedown issues but no major problems and all of the minor issues were resolved with the utmost of professionalism by Newmar and Spartan, with follow-up phone calls from each to see if the problem was adequately resolved.

It is great comfort to realize you have 100% support from the factory.

I encourage you to plan a trip to Nappanee at or near your one year warranty expiration to get everything checked out and experience the factory tour, etc. You may have already done this, but if you haven't, it is quite an experience. Not to mention the wonderful country surrounding Nappanee.

If your experience is like ours, you will learn a great deal here. Soak it in. I have copied and pasted so many tidbits and emailed them to myself, I think I am months behind re-reading the stuff to give it a chance to soak in.

Don

Welcome and enjoy your Newmar coach. We bought a little less then 5 years ago, have about 50k miles and look forward to a bunch more. We had the usual 1st year problems... take the advice and visit the factory during the 1st year.
