HWH full wall slide - wind noise

I have only put 500 miles on my rv so far, but one thing I have noticed is there is a lot of wind noise while driving. I hear the road and tires much more than I did with my 2013.

I know part of this is due to the lack of carpet. The tile will allow more noise.

I would like to know from others that have owned the non hydraulic fws and now own a model with the hwh slide if you have experienced the same.

I know that some have reported missing seals and other related issues. If you have before/ after pictures, I would like to see those. I believe my slide has all the intended seals, but would like to verify.

Are you sure it's coming from the slide? I had a lot of wind noise until I caulked all the drivers windows. Now our coach is very quiet.

We have the same wind noise. I didn’t notice it when we first picked up the coach. I was thinking it was coming from the windows. Thanks CareFree. I’ll look into caulking it.

I have wind noise from the the drivers windows also but not the FWS. Some others have posted the source is the window drain holes and have used tape to cover them. I’m going to try this before our next trip.

I notice it behind me. The windows could be the issue, as they are the new frameless style. The front is amazingly quieter compared to my old 2013.

The best thing for finding wind noise.....take a piece of 1/2" or smaller tuning, about three feet long, and have someone stick one end in there ear and fish the other end around where you think the wind is coming from. You'll quickly find it. Maybe one of your kids can do that while you drive.
