We are in the Southwest and never would have thought we needed the heater as much as lately. It has been cold down here.

Our kitchen heat convector stopped working about 1 week ago. The hot fluid was flowing properly as the incoming and outgoing hoses were hot. The unit itself was hot but the fans would not start. I checked the voltage to the fans and it checked out fine. The power was applied to the fans as the thermostat called for heat but the fans seemed to be shot.

Vehicles Systems recommended a location in Las Vegas to have it checked and they had the same diagnosis, a bad convector unit. We explained a limited timeframe to be in the area and the need to expedite the part. We had the problem diagnosed last Monday and I approved sending the part overnight at our expense. Well, Vehicle Systems did not send the part when requested and then finally sent it ground. So now the part gets to Vegas while we are in Palm Springs. Frustrating.

We will have to try again when we get to Arizona.

If you can access behind heater coils you could hook a 12v fan behind heater coils temperary until you get your new unit. Connect the 12v leads to temp fan.

Thanks for the idea...
I just got a call from the shop. The part arrived and looks like we can get installed today once the chassis work is done.

That is a good thing since Mary Beth was not a happy girl with the cold living room/kitchen area. Are all DW this demanding?????
