I have a 2006 Kountry Star 3912. The sound quality of the in dash stereo is lacking and I would like to replace it. I don't know if I should upgrade the entertainment center or the in dash unit. One of my concerns is where the power for the in dash unit comes from since if we use it extensively while we are parked, would it draw down the chasis batteries in stead of the house batteries? Anyone know which batteries the dash unit runs on?

Our '07 ATME dash radio is powered by the House batteries. Try turning off the house batteries and see if the radio works.

Hi China,

Do you have a battery disconnect switch for the House and Chassis batteries? If so, turn the radio "on" and turn each of them "off" and you'll know

Otherwise, turn the radio on and remove the + connector from the chassis battery. If it stops it's that one, if it doesn't it's the other

Drain from a dash radio will be minimal. If you have a small solar panel it will keep up.

Mac
