Increasing HP on Cummins ISL 370

I have been told that Cummins can make a software change on my 2004 ISL 370 in a Dutch Star, and increase the horsepower to over 400. Anyone had that done ? Experience ? Cost ? Thanks.

Check with Cummins and they can tell you if and how much. I know some MA owners with 450 HP ISM who had them boosted to 500. While still under warranty cost 1700$ but past warranty alot less. Both said noticed positive change in both power and fuel economy. Since this engine before 2010 came with 425 HP it would seem it can be done with just ECM. Tom 04 Essex

The ISL is what is in my coach, and it is 450HP. Not sure if the turbo will support 450, but it should get at least 425. I believe there was an upgrade to the fuel delivery to get the 450.

Another concern may be the cooling system. You should compare your radiator to a coach with the 450 ISL, and see if there is a size difference.

I already replaced exaust manifold due to over heating in my /04 D.S. so would expect more over heating, if you increase H.P. be sure to install manifold sensor they should all come with temp. sensor on manifold anyway.
