Newmar offers the "True" brand Induction cook top. I've only seen a "regular" electric cook top from Kenyon in Newmar MH's. Have they started offering a Kenyon Induction cook top as well? I believe the Kenyon in 007's links are the electric, non-induction Kenyons.
True
I like the layout of the True better than the Kenyon. On the Kenyon, the controls are on the side and it seems the space for two pots/pans to sit side by side is a little cramped. The True has the controls across the bottom and it seems to have more room for two pots/pans at the same time.
I did read review on the True and folks were saying that the True has 1800 watts available that are split between the two burners. If you have one burner on high at 1800 watts the other burner has no wattage available. At least that's how i read it.
Maybe someone who owns one or the other will jump in here and give a better overview.

Here is a link to the True Induction model.
I installed this model in our MH last fall. DW likes it. Along with cooking fast. She is not standing over a hot stove to cook. We also have a full size Induction Range in our S&B.
As already stated. The Kenyon models do not appear to be Induction. Kenyon does make a Induction Stove Top. But they do not look like the ones shown in the above links.

AFAIK, the Kenyon cooktop Newmar installs is electric, but not induction. Kenyon does make an induction cooktop, but it's very expensive.
We had Newmar install a True Induction cooktop last fall like the one pictured above in 007's post. It's great for cooking! Boils water in much less time. You can cook by temperature or by a setting and also set the time for something to cook. It does NOT require 220. For one burner the minimum setting is 1 and the maximum is 10. The only negative I have is if using both burners, the lowest setting is 3 and the highest setting is 7. I wish they had a 1,9 and a 2,8 setting too.
We also had Newmar install a switch for it so we don't accidentally turn it on when we're using the towel covered cooktop surface for food prep, etc.
A lot of cookware will not work on an induction unit. If a magnet will not stick to the bottom of your cookware, then it will not work on an induction unit.

I also have a model 4369 Mountain Aire diesel pusher in proroduction. I believe the Kenyo cooktop is all electric and the other one is a induction type which requires special cookware. So someone else jump in there and help us both. Thanks

When we ordered our 2014 King Aire last May, we don't recall seeing an Induction cooktop as an option and it's not on the option sheet that we have. Maybe things have now changed. We have the Kenyon Electric.

Do you like the Kenyon electric cooktop? Tell us a little bit about how it works. What are the pros versus cons.

Hi JoMar
DW say's that the electric works "ok", at home we have a gas range so she's used to that. But with an all electric coach, it's nice to not worry about propane levels. The unit has a safety lockout to prevent you from setting something on it and accidentally turning it on as this unit doesn't have any covers to hide it when not in use. We're also hoping that the glass doesn't eventually scratch and show signs of wear. Bottom line is that we will probably do more outdoor cooking than we would if we had a gas or induction cooktop.

Agree completely with Nforus. We have the Kenyon on our all electric 2013 Dutch Star 4018. It is fine in all respects, but the induction cooktop is much, much faster to heat and cook with, more efficient from an energy standpoint and much cooler (radiating heat wise) while and after being used.
If we would have had an option to originally order the True induction cooktop, there wouldn't have been a question. Like the GE Advantium 120 convection / microwave option, which we learned about and ordered two days before our coach went into production a year ago, the induction cooktop would have been in the coach at delivery had it been an available option to us twelve months ago (we asked and it wasn't).
This is one of those things that shows how quickly improvements seem to unfold in today's motor home industry. Just look at how much more popular and how much more readily available all electric coaches are today than they were even five years ago. Night and day difference. Induction will be commonly available on higher end coaches in the immediate future and there is very good reason why when you see their performance.

We've had a conventional electric cooktop in this coach for some 7 years now and love it! That is, until someone dropped a can of peas or something on it...those ceramic tops will crack!!!!
While the DW is not looking forward to the Essex' True induction unit, MY job will be to convince her it'll be better than the old one.

Do not forget to tell her that the old pot and pans may not work.
