NewmarPusher - We have been to the Glen a number of times. A lot of people don't like that track because you can't see the whole track. We love that track because of the area. There is SOOO much to do there. Great family vacation. When we go there we don't stay at the track . . . we stay at the state camp ground. Very nice and some sites have electric. The state camp ground is amazing if you haven't been there.
We have also been to Dover because of the same good friend we went to see at the Pocono's. We liked that track a lot but getting in/out of there really sucked. After all these years they don't seem to have a very good way to get lots of people in/out of there in a timely fashion.
Loudon is more or less in our back yard so we have been going there for a long time. The new owner has poured TONS of money into that track and it just keeps getting better and better. We love going there and have the best time. We see the same people year after year. We have been on the list to get track side camping for many years but I think we'll cancel that. We don't care if we're parked on the track or with a view of it. Not really that big a deal to us. Also the real problem is if you are traveling with friends. You may be able to get in but they won't be able to and the odds that they are near you are very remote. We'd rather be with friends. It what a lot of the race is about for us. Good times and good people.
We really want to go try Kentucky and Bristol. Same friend is seasons pass holder at Bristol and we are going to try and hook up with him to hit that race one of these years.
Dizzee2020 - I just barely made out that there was this enormous solar farm there. I just don't get it. Is that his grand plan to make money? Does he think he'll sell more seats at the races because he has solar power? What a waste of money that could have been spent on much needed track improvements. Very unfortunate. Makes me think the owner is lost in space some place. Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if NASCAR ended up pulling out of that track in the future.
