we have had 4 failures of the infotainment radio in our 2012 King Aire. Has anyone else had similar problems and if so, what was the solution?

Welcome to irv2. I searched the forum and couldn't find any Newmar threads on this. Hopefully someone can assist.

I think he's referring to the Nav-N-Go dash mount system that has the GPS and so on integrated with it. I am unable to find much of any info on it.

I don't know what you have done to remedy the situation, but Newmar usually takes extra care of hi-line customers, and if they haven't helped, then I would frequent a specialist and put them on the line with Newmar (worked for me with a similar situation and found a mobile tech in Tennessee who spoke Newmar's language).

The inference is they don't take care of the rest of us - Don't think Newmar would agree with you on that. I love the generalities espoused on these forums.

That is not what Soricobob said or implied. Newmar takes care of all their owners.

The issue has been with the Nav n go system. Newmar customer support has been excellent, they have flown a factory tech out to us ( we don't have a dealer in our state) and we have had the unit back at the factory to address this and other issues. So I think they are also at a loss on this one and that's why I deceided to post here. The first failure was a frozen touch screen and the three subsequent failures have been the unit just not turning on as we got ready to leave an RV park, we have a dealer installed power protector/surge protector so I'm hesitant to think that it's dirty park power.

We'll continue to work with Newmar to get this solved, Thankfully my wife can use the Ipad, PC, and trucker atlas to help me navigate and she is down to only getting me lost 2 or 3 times a day

Glad to hear you've been involved with Newmar, and I'm not at all surprised at the concern they have shown. When pressured enough, and over a period of time, I have known Newmar to replace what cannot be fixed.
