Installing SeeLevel II tank monitors on 2017 DSDP

Right up front let me apologize if this subject has been addressed before. I tried several searches and didn't find anything which surprises me, but I'm still interested in any input offered.

I would like to install SeeLevel monitors on my 2017 Dutch Star 4369. We absolutely are unhappy with the standard 1/3, 2/23, and full readings and we don't have the Silver Leaf system on this coach. So the question is has anyone else done this upgrade to their coach? Looking at the videos and the installation instructions it seems fairly straight forward. But I still have two primary questions though. First what wiring concerns am I going to have with the macerator toilets and will the red light lock out feature on the "full" level be a problem with the wiring installation? Second question is how do I access the grey and black tanks to install the sensor strips? I see the drain plumbing in the wet bay but where can I gain access to the tanks themselves?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and considerations.

Mike, thanks for the links. I knew there must be others that have been down this road before me.

We too don't like the system Newmar uses for the tanks. I'm in the process of installing one myself, I have the tanks exposed, just waiting for the See Level monitor to get here, they have been on back order. The tanks are behind the pegboard, a little bit of work to get to them but not too difficult.

I will be putting a second monitor in the half bath. On the 4018 the tanks are right below the 1/2 bath so running the wires up through the wall is very easy, just follow the wires to the toilet switch if you want to put the monitor in the half bath.

I will be placing one monitor next to the toilet switch and the other in the wet bay. I am adding this system in addition to Newmars so the wiring has no effect on the original system. Hope this helps.

I have installed a couple of SeeLevel systems in a few different RVs. You are correct it is not a highly technical job.

To answer your first question, the macerator toilet should be a completely independent system (it is in my RV; Techma macerator toilet) from the SeeLevel system.

One quick word of caution...
You can not replace the current 1/3 2/3 system on a 2017 DutchStar. That system controls your fresh water autofill.

You can use both the original and the SeeLevel. Most people do this by installing a SeeLevel monitor in the wetbay and a second monitor in the 1/2 bath just above the pegboard bay.

Wow guys thanks for the quick tips. This kind of information is exactly what I needed. I understand about the auto fill and suppose that is what I was asking about the red tank lamp at full integrating with the toilets. A separate system it is and going in to the half bath will make the wiring fairly simple. As to the hardware being on back order I noticed this morning that Amazon has the full kit and it appears to be available. Thanks again everyone!

eggman, I almost ordered from amazon also, but got a better price for the 2 monitors from Bestconverters.com. I called See Level to see when they would be available and they said 2/22, but still waiting for them.
