Just also got a $700 raise from Progressive. Dropped them and got a reduction of $400 from Nationwide, for a $1100 savings!

Insurance cost is highly variable based on coverages and value of your rig. We have had GMAC for two different coaches and have not found anyone that can beat their pricing and coverage in spite of minor increases every year. Especially like the suspension of coverage with GMAC for storage periods.

my progressive went up 20% this month for the year. called them they said Ohio had a increase. after some talking and adjusting the policy, it will be the same as last year.

My Progressive policy skyrocketed so I switched all my vehicles to Geico a few months ago.

Geico 1-800-909-4246

ask for replacement cost (Total Loss at full replacement value) It's a little extra but could be well worth it.

The cost of insurance for the same RV can have a very wide range, the cost for our RV is a lot higher than it was when it was new. Reason we were under insured-high deductable-did not have coverage for under insured etc: all this effects the cost.
Best way to find out if you are paying to much for the type of coverage you chose is to submit in writing the same request for coverage to 3-4 companies.
Do not believe anyone unless everything is on paper.
Remember insurance is a gamble that you hope you never have to use, but if you do need it make sure it is enough protection.

I just don't know of any insurance company that can beat GEICO as long as you have a squeeky clean record. I've been with them for over 25 years. I tried to get better rates a half dozen times. Nobody could touch them. Not the lady on Progressive either

We just bought a new Motorhome and checked with a number of companies including Geico (I was told by the Geico rep that they do not offer replacement cost insurance), Progressive, Good Sam (GMAC), RV America, and Farm & City (an agent for Allied and Nationwide). We chose Farm & City. The rates for full replacement cost coverage were far less than GMAC and Progressive. For basic coverage without replacement cost, GEICO was the best. Allied insured full retail replacement cost for the first five years, then guaranteed coverage for purchase price after that.

Get an independent broker to shop it for you. You'll get a better price and coverage than going direct. I got about 12 different quote and I think I got as good as I could get. Not a name brand like Geico but they don't pay for commercials. (American Modern Insurance Group)

My Daughter is my independent broker. She's probably still sticking it to me, but it keeps it in the family.

I have done well with GMAC but I hear that Geico has good RV rates so I am getting a quote from them.

I have GEICO replacement cost on the RV (Proof Positive). It's an item shown on the policy. Interestingly, along with the replacement cost is a complete RV package for many RV'er needs. The policy addendum RV Package includes many things you'd want for your RV'ing adventures.

I think GEICO should be paying me for advertisement
