Which company has the best rates without compromising service for class A motorhomes?

This has been discussed many times and there is no clear answer as there are just too many variables.

I have National Interstate through Farm & City agency.

What he said.

I was with Progressive but after three consecutive rate increases (no claims, no accidents, no tickets) I found much less expensive coverage through Gilbert RV Insurance.

Echoing the above. It really is impossible to answer your question in any meaningful way. Too many widely differing factors and situations. Like buying a mattress, there is no way to directly compare apples to apples.

However, sort of like Route66 Farm&City handle my Progressive policy. F&C has recently quoted me a slightly cheaper rate from National Interstate, but my Progressive policy has actually gone DOWN slightly in the 3 years I have had it with them. Imagine that. So I stayed with Progressive.

I have no issues at all with either F&C (always looking out for me) or Progressive (superb dealings and they are in total synch with the folks at Newmar as well).

We had Progressive and was stung each year with their rate increases. We had no claims and they would come up with the silliest reasons to increase the rates. One year they said they changed the way they rate credit scores and since I could not prove I had a credit card before age 25 they increased my rate that year. Give me a break!!!!!!

I only kept the progressive policy since we had the RV replacement coverage during the first 5 model years (in the case of a total loss they would buy us a brand new EXDP). Once the RV was 5 years old that coverage no longer was on the policy. After 5 years they only guarantee the original purchase price. You would expect the rate to drop considerably since their potential liability had diminished significantly...but no, another big increase.

Our registrations were Montana and then later Texas during the first 5 years.

Our EXDP started at about $1650 for fulltimer coverage and with maximum limits. At the end, they tried to put in another $350 increase that would have taken it up to about $2400/ year. Calls were made to Farm and City and also to Progressive. No one seemed to budge until I finally said that I was canceling. Then they both called and wanted to know what they had to do to keep me as a customer. A little late for that.

I called Geico and got even better coverage than Progressive for about $1,300 per year. I would give Geico a call. They will not be quoted by most agents but should be included in your analysis.

Progressive is very low on my personal list. National was not much better...only pennies less than the over priced Progressive.

I went with Nationwide after GMAC hit me with a big increase. So far no problems or claims for that matter.

Just had a chance to use my insurance. American Family Home Insurance, Jacksonville Florida. $240,000 replacement cost 500 deductible towing, personal effects, actual cash value --$2068. Prob go up next year due to claim, But they sent adjuster out same day said get an estimate and get it fixed.

My daughter is my agent and she works with many companys and this was the best deal going(so she says)
