Intellitec Slide Controller

The slide controller w/Voice model in my coach is no longer made. The new ones require the switch to be held down while the slide operates, mine does not. If I switch to the new unit, will it require a new switch/wiring? Alternatively, would there be any problem using the unit without the voice module which is still available and does not require the switch to be held down? These are used on my other two slides.

Personally , I'd prefer the auto shut off single push module, warning voice , after 7 years of ownership , isn't necessary.
I'll tag along to see what info you get, in case my module ever needs to be replaced.

I agree, but it seems you can either get single push, no voice, or hold the button with voice. I'm concerned that changing the button function will require a different number of wires or a different switch.

Switch and wiring shouldn't be different , just providing a signal to the controller , whether momentary or continuous , signal should pass through the wire and the controller makes the decisions.
But then what do I know; I'm just a retired mechanic , engineers and mechanics seldom get along.

Hi mikelm48,
Keep what you have. Voice or no voice.

I "think" the only harness difference is yours has a wire pair for the speaker. Unused with the "no voice" controller.

GaryKD, my controller may be shot, so I'm looking for a replacement.

We replaced one controller on our 2005 KSDP with the hold down switch feature and it required nothing else be done to the switch or wiring.

Somewhat off-topic but before replacing the controllers and/or slideout motors double-check the switch. I have had two bad switches in the last few months and one of the bad switches was misdiagnosed as a bad motor. Expensive mistake!

Did it come with the wiring harness ends that plug into the the controller?
