Any experience with internet access either while in motion or via cell phone hook-up. Also, can anyone tell me if satellite TV and internet access are available in two or four week intervals instead of a full year at a time? We might take a trip every two months or three months. Lots of downtime in between.

We had Direct TV last year and we were able to suspend our service every weekday(we are weekend campers). You need to give them a start up date when you do but you can start early if you need to. Make sure they know it is for a RV or else they might give you some static for starting and stopping all the time.

I use VZW from Verizon. A little pricy but my connections are generally solid and fast (115K or better). I do make it a point to use Outlook so I can download and disconnect before I read. Saves alot on minutes. I am using a T730 Motorola, works fine.
