I only turn my inverter off when I am rebooting my satellite receiver. I noticed that if I hold the button too long, when turning it off, the inverter will click back on again. When I just tap the button it shuts off properly.

I had the same problem - unable to turn my inverter off.

Turns out it was mismatched chip set.

The computer chip in the remote did not match the chip in the inverter.

Xantrex put a matching one in the inverter.

There is a recall on some of these inverters to update the chip set.

I had the newest one in the remote as Newmar replace my remote panel due to another problem.

Where di you get your Xantrex service/recall done? According to the web site, the nearest service location to me(IA) is in MN or WI. Can this recall be done at Newmar. I have an appointment for other stuff at the end of August.

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">Where did you get your Xantrex service/recall done? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Mine was fixed at the FMCA rally in March by the Xantrex techs.

I don't know if Newmar can do the update or not. You would have to call them.

BTW, I'll be at Newmar Aug 22.

Thanks, I'll give them a call. We don't arrive until the 26th for work on the 27-28. Maybe we'll meet up there.

I was unable to find the Xantrex model RC7...Is this the Posine 2.0 model (2000w) that Newmar is offering?

Can somebody confirm which Xantrex 2000w model they are putting in the 07-08 models? Is it the Prosine 2.0? I was unable to locate the "RC7" model on the Xantrex website as mentioned earlier in this thread...

The RC7 is a remote control panel that is designed to interface with the RV series inverter/charger. If you have an RC7 remote panel, chances are you have an RV2012 modified sine wave inverter. The panel is available as an RC7 or an RC7/GS (with automatic generator start capability). The Prosine 2000 is a true sine wave inverter but uses a different remote control panel, not the RC7 series.
