I use this same ladder. Work good and easy to store. Have to watch the pinch points when you retract the thing!!

I wanted a telescoping ladder, but because I already have a rear ladder to get to the roof I simply couldn't justify the cost in terms of both money and storage space.

I bought this one instead because I can comfortably (and safely) stand on the top step, allowing me to reach up all the way to the roof line - with the airbags dumped, of course. With the airbags full I can still reach all of my windows, which is what I use it for 90% of the time anyway.

I, too, have a back ladder as well, but I am a 6'6" 300lbs lad and the ladder rating is not that high. The roof loading questionable as well. That is the reason for my purchase.

When I have to blow off or cleaning the awnings and I am using an electric blower, the ladder makes this task much easier.

That would definitely make all the difference. I'm just a tad under the ladder / roof rating, so I guess I'll count myself lucky

Just got my little giant M22 from the BX, under $160 and free shipping. I am almost 260 so the coach ladder isn't really made for me. To make matters worse, about 5 weeks ago I went to use the coach ladder and the bottom step is about 30 inches from the ground. As I went to step off the ground with my planted foot (other one on the bottom step) I blew out my knee as I unloaded my weight off it to jump up. Surgery, crutches and still in PT. I am convinced the coach ladder is just several more screw holes to leak water. I plan to transport mine most likely on top of my towed Scion xB with a Yakima rack and basket.

We carry one of the Werner "multi-config" ladders (it's a stepladder, it's an extension ladder, etc.). In step ladder mode - I can reach anything on the sides of the coach. In extension ladder mode - it's 17' and just right for getting onto the roof. I'm 275 lbs and like that fact that I'm under it's 300 lb capacity rating. It's definitely on the heavy side - and does chew up a bit of storage space - but it gets used often enough that I'm happy we schlepp it.

X2 on the Werner folding ladder. I have the same unit SpaceNorman described. Long enough to safely access/exit the roof when extended; high and sturdy enough for any work on the vertical. Sets up as an 8 ft long work table, too. Folds to 4 ft, weighs 40 Lbs. Mine travels secured to the rear ladder. Well worth the effort.

I also just carry a fiberglass 6' ladder that sits nicely on its side in my storage bay. Fairly inexpensive and holds a lot of weight. That collapsable ladder does look interesting tho.

I never leave home without mine. It hangs on a lawn chair rack that attaches to my rear roof access ladder. The RV roof access ladder has a removable bottom section designed to be temporary. I added a couple of permanent pegs and keep it on using plastic wing nuts. This is just to fill in the empty space below the permanent part of the roof ladder. With the Little Giant hanging there I can actually step onto it and climb up and over to the roof ladder without removing the little giant.
I removed the plastic pieces and took the ladder to a powder coat place and matched the RV colors. Some rattle can paint for the plastic pieces made for a close match.
A bicycle cable locks it in place and some small ball bunjies keep it from rattling.

I found this one at Camping World. It folds up to about 4" by 5" by 7 foot long.
Works well for me and saves a lot of space.

I had a Werner (which worked fine) but found it too awkward to retrieve from the compartment when the slides are out ... also a bit of a storage problem (shape/bulk). Gave it to my neighbor and got Xtend and Climb. Much better for my purposes. Either will do the job.

I carry the Little Giant. It rides on it's side bungeed to the frame supports, in the aft bay. My only complaint is it's weight.
