It’s a well known rule that an RV park Requires BOTH a train and a busy highway.

Ditto on the Oakwood Resort (17 Miles East); Newmar discounted rate, dog friendly, CLEAN (no evidence of dog friendly), restaurant on premises, beautiful waterfront views, walking paths.

Wow normal is in the $179 range. How do you get the Newmar rate? Visit or pickup or does it matter?

We got a great rate at a Marriott near South Bend. Says it’s 22.1 miles from Nappanee.

We have been to Newmar multiple times for warranty work and would never consider a hotel, even though the 5:30 am alarm comes early and gets tiring as the week wears on. The main reason we stay in our coach is to see the service guys in the morning to review what will be done in the upcoming day, discuss any left over issues from the previous day, and to be available for the same conversation when they return the coach at 2:15ish. Our experience is that time with the technician was invaluable an the most value added time to make sure things are being fixed as expected and discussed. Also, those were the best times to pick the technicians brain on any issues in the coach or around the work that was being done. I like to stay connected to the team that is on my coach and we know all of the guys in building 11 as a result. Just my .02.

We always did the same thing stayed in coach, only once in hotel when they put heat lamps on new windshield reset over night in Jan.
You still heard the train only not so loud with the surrounding buildings.

I'm going to be the devils advocate here. We spent about 45 minutes today meeting our tech and reviewing our list, left at 7:15am and checked into hotel at 8. Got some additional sleep and enjoyed a tour of the Entegra factory today. Got a call from our tech at 2:30 AND an email wIth updates from work performed today. Tonight I will not hear trains, and I won't have to get up at 5:30 in 28 degree weather to unhook, put slides in, get all of the condensation off windshield, etc. Will be sleeping in a hotel while our coach stays inside the building safe, sound, and warm and plugged in to shore power.
