When I bought my 06, it was a very cool, hands off, situation. We were dealing with the local dealer, who is big, and the salesperson offered almost no advice, and we felt he was put out a bit when we asked questions, and ordered any specials. Now, as we order our 09, from a smaller dealer, we are being treated like gold. It is as if we are king and queen, and the salesperson hangs on every word. He cannot do enough for us. So, is it the dealership, or are we experiencing hard times?

Delearship-dealt with both types in '07 and also a third type that was over the phone(talk about low key). Wanted to go with the "gold" treatment dealer but didn't work out.

I'd say it's the dealer.

When I ordered my rig, almost 2 years ago, the dealer was very helpful and cooperative when I had the money and they had the rig (so to speak, as it was an ordered unit).

Once they had the deposit and the order was placed, I detected a definite change in the dealer's demeanor. No real problems, just a change from friendly to business like.

Ditto on the dealer, especially the salesperson...

The dealer.

Some people once they get your money want to be done with you and off to the next person. If that was my experience I'd be sure to call them every time I bought a new coach and let them know they missed out on a sale. After a few calls they might decide something needs to change.

Some people only understand two things, pain and / or their pocket book.

I guess I am lucky. I felt my dealer in Oklahoma was just as friendly if not more so after the deal. The service dept has been nothing but helpfull for me. I was just a used coach buyer as well. They made me feel like I was buying a top end coach.... YMMV
