Is Newmar accepting extended warranties for factory repairs
I have been reading that Winnebago and Tiffin are getting real sticky about accepting any extended warranties for repair work done at the factory. Has anyone run into any problems at Newmar using their extended warranty for factory repairs after the Factory Warranty has expired?

I read, I think in their service quote, that they do not accept extended warranties. You would have to pay the bill and then file with your warranty company.

This seems like a reasonable approach.

Hmmmm - I was there last March and mentioned I had an extended warranty and was told to make sure I left the information for the warranty in case they needed it.
Turns out they didn't.

I was there in September. I can tell you that Spartan will work with your warranty company. I would call Newmar service and ask them to be sure.

I dropped my coach off at Newmar in November. One of the issues I asked them to look at would be covered by my extended warrantee. They were fine with that and I left them the information for my warrantee so they could get pre-approved for any work and the work would be covered by the insurance.

If i remember, some of the warranty companies like Good Sam for example, won't accept a work order or invoice from the customer then pay the bill to the customer. If the factory won't bill the warranty company then wait for payment from them it seems the customer is SOL (Sorry Out of Luck). I guess having to wait for prior approval/inspection before the repair can begin is really throwing the service departments a curve with their scheduled work timing.

While there may be some blacklisted Service Agreement companies, in general, Newmar will work with service agreement companies. It will tanks additional time, the coach owner should be prepared for this. Some companies handle the request the same day. Others make it painful.
With Newmar, the important thing to remember is the bill must be paid before the coach is returned to the owner. A service agreement company saying the check is in the mail is not enough to get the coach released. From Newmar's view the payment process is fully automated and electronic. Funds should be transferred from the service agreement company to Newmar's account.
